Web Sites
This is a list of some of the Web Sites and examples of Web work I have been involved in.
- Synagogue for the Arts. This site was developed in 2006 to reach out to potential new members and provide a sense of the community.
- RecyclePlease.org. A Direct Marketing Association sponsored site, this was designed around its consumer education function. Done in 2004.
- DMA Conference Sites. I did many specialty sites for DMA conferences from 1999 through 2006 (about 8 per year). Although the feel of each site was dramatically different, depending on color and graphics, the basic architecture and page layouts were very similar to help keep customers oriented. These sites utilized a unified registration system that allowed for custom branding and registration scenerios that were controlled through administrative settings rather than rebuilding for each. It took about 15 minutes to set up a registration.
- The Direct Marketing Association Intranet. The DMA Intranet is a simple site which was designed to hold process documents and human resourse documents for staff. This was begun in 2003.
- Interactive Marketing Solutions. This Web site was designed for a new for-profit entity of the Direct Marketing Association. It is a business-to-business site consisting primarily of online products. This was done in 2002.
- The Direct Marketing Association. Web site needed a restructuring of its architecture to substantially improve usability. As with the International Council of Shopping Centers (below) the sites purpose is to deliver member services for this association. Along with a new graphical interface, the new architecture allowed members to find information quickly and clearly. This re-design was done in 2001.
- Consumers. This site, sponsored by the Direct Marketing Association, collected the association's consumer based information and services, inlcuding a mail, telephone and e-mail opt-out registery. Done in 2000.
- The Women's City Club. WCC is a political organization predating women's suffrage. The goal of the site is primarily a marketing one to inform the public and media about WCC and its activities. Done in 1999.
- International Council of Shopping Centers. I did a reorganization and graphical redesign of the site in 1998 and developed the business specifications for most of the database applications. The sites purpose is to deliver member services for this trade organization. As such, the site was designed to get the information to the members quickly and clearly.
- Thermometrics. Thermometrics wanted to remake their existing site. The purpose is primarily to provide technical information to engineers who use these products. As project manager I created the structure of the site as well as being the primary contact for the client. I had responsibility for working with the client on content, meeting deadlines and the other common Project Management tasks. Done in 1997.
- The official site for Atlantic City. The content and structure was based on an existing publication (actually, the web site was launched before the book left the printers) and modified to be a chamber of commerce piece. It was begun in 1996.
- Atlantic City Free Public Library. This site was dveloped for the Atlantic City Library in 1996. It stood the test of time until 2004.
- New York New York. A site sponsored by Manhattan Borough President Ruth Messinger and administered by the Borough of Manhattan Community College. This was initiated in February of '95 and designed as a neighborhood guide.
- Downtown. The on-line version of the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council magazine. (1995).
- Administrative site of the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Another major site that grew over time. The site began as a way to distribute information about the College. In process it also developed and administrative intranet function and subsequently a marketing portion. I was project manager with had hands on responsibility. Begun in early 1995.
